Hope Youth Ministry

We leave for the Mission Trip on Sunday! Things to remember:

• Be at church at 9:00 AM to load up the van & trailer.
• We will attend the 10:00 AM worship service.
• All participants and their families will eat lunch at church immediately following the service.
• We will return on Saturday, July 23 at 1:00 PM.
• Make sure you read the packing list! If you lost it, you can download it at http://www.hopeyouthministry.com/missiontrip/

This week:

• Join us tomorrow, Wednesday, July 13 from 12:30PM to 4:00PM to volunteer at the North Texas Food Bank. We will meet at the church at 12:30PM.
• Sunday we leave for Houston! Those going on the trip need to be at church at 9:00AM Sunday. Make sure you have your release form and payment if you have not turned those in yet.

Coming Up:

• Today, Wednesday, June 29, 6-8:30 PM – Devo night at the Cleaver’s house. We will be cooking fajitas, having a devotional, and doing some fun stuff. Jill Heyerdahl is willing to drive kids from the Love’s at Highway 67 & 287 if they need a ride. Call Jill if you need a ride. Reply to this email if you don’t have Jill’s number.
• Tomorrow, Thursday, June 30, 11:00 AM – Mission Trip Planning. We need to do some more planning for the upcoming mission trip. Participants can come help us brainstorm and then plan out some of the activities we will be responsible to lead during the mission trip.
• Sunday, July 3, 9 AM – Sunday school for junior high and high school.

CHANGE! The Mission Trip meeting will now be at 9 AM this Sunday, June 26, instead of 11:15 AM.

This month the Council Meeting got moved to June 26 due to Fathers day last weekend, and I didn’t catch the conflict with the Mission Trip meeting.

This Week:

• Wednesday, June 22, 6:00-8:30 PM – Devo Night. This week we will meet at the church for a movie night. Dinner will be served.
• Sunday, June 26, 9:00 AM – Sunday School for Jr. High and High School.
• Sunday, June 26, 11:15 AM – Mission Trip Meeting. After this Sunday’s 10:00 worship service, we will have a Mission Trip meeting for all participants and their parents. We will go over details, packing lists, activities, final balance, and more. If you cannot make it, please let me know ahead of time.

Coming Soon:

• Wednesday, June 29, 6:00-8:30 PM – Devo night at the Cleaver’s house. We will cook out and do some outdoorsy things, so come dressed to be outside.

• CALENDAR CHANGE —Wednesday, June 1—Last Interlude (Jr. High & High School). To help us transition between the school year and summer, come to “Interlude” on Wednesdays. We will watch & discuss Francis Chan’s videos on the basics of the Christian faith (the original calendar did not have anything going on this Wednesday, but the next video in the Francis Chan series just came out, so I want to go ahead and watch it while the others are still fresh on our minds). Schedule:
  • 5:45 PM—Pizza Dinner ($3/person)
  • 6:15-7:00—DVD & Discussion
  • 7:00-8:00—Games and fellowship
• Sunday, June 4, 9 AM – Sunday School for Jr. High and High School.

Coming Soon

• Sunday school will continue at 9:00 AM on Sundays.
• The first two weeks of June will not have a lot going on as everyone wraps up the school year and Matt is gone June 6-10 to Minnesota.
• VBS is June 12-16. We need lots of help from our youth. Talk to Matt about what you would like to help with.
• Friday, June 24, 6-9 PM – Devo night at the Cleaver’s house.

• Soul Emergence postponded. Soul Emergence was scheduled for Sunday night, but with everything else going on this weekend, let’s postpone it.
